The Fresh Beat Band, produced by Nick Jr. is a children television show in English language and is aired in America. In this television series, four friends go to a music school together. Their names are Shout, Kiki, Twist and Marina and these four are referred to as the Fresh Beats. All four friends share a common enthusiasm for singing and dancing. Shot at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles, California, the show is a creation of Scott Craft and Nadine Van Der Velde. Directed by Scott Kraft, Neal Israel, Henry Chan etc. the show is written by Scott Craft, Nadine Van Der Velde, Kim Durran, Linda Mathious etc. Each episode of the show starts with a song which narrates a problem the band will face on that day. This problem needs to be solved by the band.

All the four members of the band work together in finding out a solution to that problem. At the end of each episode, the band performs on a song which has lyrics containing solution to the problem. Each episode of the show is concluded with a song Great Day also called the closing song. Mandy Moore is the choreographer for the show along with Sean Cheeseman, Chuck Maldonado, Nakul Mahajan and many more. Main characters dance to various melodies choreographed by all these choreographers. Genre of the show is Live Action or Kids Edutainment. The theme music composers of the Fresh Beat Band are Matter music. The ending theme of the show is creation of The Best Beat Band theme instrumental.
The character of Twist the Disc Jockey is played by Jon Beaver and he handles turntables, beat box in the show and lends his voice to songs too. Tara Perry plays the character of Marina the Drummer and is a drummer in the show. Thomas Hobson plays the role of keyboard artist Shout the keyboardist and the character of Kiki the violinist is played by Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer.
In supporting roles, Shane Blade plays the character of Pizza Café owner named Harper the Pizza Maker in the show. Patrik Lewis plays the role of Reed the guitarist. He replaced Headley Frazer in second season of the show.
The other characters are played by Corey Lay who acts as the ice cream vendor and Malroy Low plays the character of Delivery woman. She replaced Molly Baker for the role.
Earlier at the beginning, the show was called as the JumpArounds, but later the name was changed to The Fresh Beat Band in mid July 2009.
Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer won the best young actress award at the 26^th annual Imagen Awards for her role as Kiki the violinist in the show. The show has won Parent’s choice award in fun category for children of age 2 to 5 in 2011.
Presently the show is running its third successful season. In all forty episodes of the show have been aired on television in the United States of America. The show is running from August 24^th 2009 till present.
