The American Idol 2012 competition is going into its eleventh season, and luckily for fans all around the world American Idols LIVE! tickets are now available for purchase. The judges of this singing tournament are Steven Tyler, the lead singer of Aerosmith, Randy Jackson, a record producer, and Jennifer Lopez, a singer, dancer and recording artist. This will be Ryan Seacrest's eleventh season hosting the American Idol Show.
This season the top ten contestants are Colton Dixon, DeAndre Brackensick, Elise Testone, Erika Van Pelt, Heejun Han, Hollie Cavanagh, Jessica Sanchez, Joshua Ledet, Phillip Phillips and Skylar Laine. 
Colton Dixon is from Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Colton is twenty one years old. Colton tried out for the American Idol show with his younger sister, Schyler Dixon, but Schyler was voted off earlier in the season. Colton also plays the piano and keytar.
Deandre Brackensick is from San Jose, California and is known for his long curly hair and falsetto voice. Brackensick tried out for the tenth season of American Idol but was cut due to the judges feeling he was not ready. He was not voted by America's votes for the semi finals but was chosen in the wild card round by the judges. Deandre is eighteen years old. Deandre also plays the ukulele.
Elise Testone is from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina and is twenty nine years old. Besides singing, Elise plays the piano, guitar and drums. Her genre of music is blues, rock and soul. Prior to American Idol, Elise was a voice instructor in Mount Pleasant, SC. She was also in a band, the Freeloaders, who won the Funk/Soul/R&B Artist of the Year in the Charleston City Paper's Music issue.
Erika Van Pelt was born in Providence, RI. Erika is 26 years old and was the first of the top ten contestants of American Idol to be voted off. While in Berklee College of Music in Boston, Ma. Erika studied jazz, rock, pop and soul genres along with production and engineering.
Heejun Han is twenty three years old and was born in Anyang, Gyeonggi, South Korea and came to Queens, NY when he was twelve years old. Heejun warked with special needs children in a missionary school in Flushing, NY. Besides singing, Heejun plays the piano. His genre of music is pop and R&B.
Hollie Cavanagh is originally from Liverpool, England, but lives in McKinney, Texas. Hollie is nineteen years of age and besides singing she plays the guitar and piano. Her genre of music is pop. Hollie auditioned for season 10 but was cut after being told she needed to do more practicing to improve her voice.
Jessica Sanchez is only seventeen years old and was born in Chula Vista, Ca. Jessica competed on the first season of America's Got Talent at the age of 11 but was not chosen to be in the semi finals. Her genre or music is pop and R&B. Jessica was given a full scholarship to train at the Theatre of Arts in Hollywood.
Joshua Ledet is from Westlake, Louisiana and is twenty years old. His genre of music is R&B and gospel. Joshua auditioned for the tenth season of American Idol not making it past the audition stage.
Phillip Phillips was born Roswell, New Mexico but grew up in Leesburg, Georgia and is twenty two years old. He not only sings but plays the guitar. His genre of music is rock.
Skylar Laine is from Brandon, Mississippi. Skylar is eighteen years old and her genre of music is country and country rock.
