Pink Friday [Deluxe Edition]
Music album review

When around year 2010 made her debut as Pink Friday by Nicki Minaj can still fall into the category "highly anticipated", but the reasoning was different. Two years of strong mixtape and guest was faithful hip-hop music knew that players sometimes dirty could take this courageous Lil ' Kim style to another level, and that the person is in long format was his command. The only question left is how this versatile music artist himself would be submitted to the general public and the answer is a silver Gwen Stefani Baz Luhrman meeting meeting young surprised and disappointed. Good ideas, like the sense of music Nicki Minaj surroundings and Rose Friday, petfood production, is an extraordinary success. Is undeniably new wave diva attitude and textures, create the type of atmosphere where Will.I.Am stops while you say hate to kill with a sample of "video Killed" Radio Star "check It Out". Several big time is when with great, Simple Minds-sampling "Blazin" or "Your Love" Waltz of speakers with a unique brand of Hood Majesty, but when "dear old Nicki" Tower "In hindsight, I loved your rawness and I loved your edge" mack Kanye West and Nicki Minaj suggests that its growth as an artist requires sacrificing quality all Trina. Important traces, "Romans Revenge" find waves, his victory while acting as wild as ever and reached Eminem-that is how gross-and literally Roaring like a tiger to get the job done. This is Nicki mixtape audience fell, and you should just check the sample stick to me Up Scotty mixtape year 2009 Barbie way (read: pop and R & B music style) and females rap and hip-hop Nicki Minaj pages reasonably can be regrouped. At the end of the day is Friday rose an ambitious captivating and brilliant fashion week is your favorite time of the year, but step Minaj win its status as a diva. Longtime music fans familiar with their workings consider nor even at this premiere, an extravagant party only, the kind where we don't mention "sneakers or clothes".

Just last week I did a post about a cute fall/winter outfit...and I'll link that here... but fashion posts are my favorite thing to blog about... it's fun to go on different websites and look for cute clothes. I wanted to put together another cute fall/winter outfit, featuring Hollister, one of my favorite stores. The clothes are really pretty and comfortable so I wanted to put together an outfit with all Hollister clothes....not including shoes. But this outfit, although a little expensive, you could find similar pieces elsewhere I'm sure. I will include links to similar and more affordable pieces.
1. Hollister "PC Highway" in White $11.94
PC Highway
A basic white tank is the perfect start to any outfit. This one is supe soft and has pretty lace detailing. http://www.hollisterco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10201&storeId=10251&langId=-1&categoryId=12646&parentCategoryId=12635&topCategoryId=12552&productId=794507
Similar: Any solid white tank will work!

2. Hollister "Fallbrook" - Red Plaid $29.70
Fallbrook
This shirt is just basic red plaid, very cute and casual, and with contrast interior lining. I personally would wear this with the sleeves as shown for an even more casual look, buttoned to where you could see the top of the lace tank, tucked into skinny jeans. http://www.hollisterco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10201&storeId=10251&langId=-1&categoryId=91712&parentCategoryId=16412&topCategoryId=12552&productId=860502

Moccasins are always a comfortable casual option, which I feel like comfortable/casual/cute is a theme of this outfit here...moccasins are definitely all of that. These ones are super soft and furry (I've tried them on:P) and love these. http://www.target.com/p/Womens-Chaia-Suede-Moccasin-Slippers-Tan/-/A-10284323?reco=Rec_pdp_10284323_PopularProductsInCategory_Banner

OPI Brand Overview

So today I'm doing what I think is my first ever brand overview...and that will be for the nail polish brand OPI.OPI is by far my favorite nail polish brand, and as far as I know there are three "OPI brands" - that is, OPI, Nicole by OPI, and Sephora by OPI. I have tried both OPI and also Nicole by OPI nd the quality and colors are absolutely outstanding.  They are a great consistency, dry fairly quickly, come in an amazing color selection, stay on for a long time, and are just overall a great nail polish brand. I've been wearing three coats of OPI's Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous on my nails for one week. I have barely any chippings, and the chips that are there are barely noticable, around the tips of my nails. It does take a while to get off, it does not peel off like say, Essie and Sally Hansen nail polishes have for me, and my Nicole by OPI in Miss Independent stays ons o well that I actually have to scrub at it with a cotton ball and nail plish remover to try and get it off. This is long-lasting nail polish that is definitely worth the price. Where I live it is generally around$8.50, I think that Nicole by OPI is less expensive by a little (but don't quote me on that) and I am not sure by Sephora by OPI. I love that OPI also comes out with mini collections, giving you a chance o try out a collection before you buy the whole thing. The only polish I don't like is Black Shatter....well actually I LOVE Shatter, the thing is, I have had mine for a little over six months, I have found that it is beginning to dry up, leaving it hard to work with. Still, putting that thought aside, OPI is still an amazing high quality nail polish brand that I reccomend to everyone. Any nail polish color you could think of, OPI probably has, whether it is in their regular OPi brand, Nicole by OPI, or Sephora by OPI. OPI is definitely a nail polish brand to check out if you have not already. http://www.opi.com

When Frank Zappa Discovered A New Talent

To contact us Click HERE

Frank Zappa image from Bobby Owsinski's Big Picture production blogHere's a repost of something that I posted in 2009 about Frank Zappa. That was in the beginning of my blog and I didn't have too many readers, so I thought you'd might be interested.

Sometime during the 80's when the AES (Audio Engineering Society) conference was still being held at the Waldorf Hotel in New York city, I happened to meet Frank in the one of the hallways between hotel rooms (a lot of the manufacturers showed their gear in hotel rooms rather than in the relatively small banquet hall). He asked me to tag along with him up to the Synclavier room (Frank was a power user), and of course I did.
As we were about to enter the hotel room, a teenaged kid comes up to Frank and asks him to come over into the alcove at the end of the corridor to listen to him play. Frank, being ever so polite as he always was with anyone he did not consider a fool, told him he would be back to listen to him in a few minutes after he finished his business with Synclavier.
Of course it was never just a few minutes with Frank, since everyone there (probably about a hundred people) wanted a chance to talk with him. So after about an hour, the kid came in the Synclavier room and taps Frank on the shoulder. Frank sees the kid and says, "I promise I'll be out in a few minutes."
About 45 more minutes go by and the kid comes back again, taps Frank on the shoulder again, and looks at him with these big doe eyes and says, "Frank, pleeese?" It's hard for anyone to resist a kid pleading like that, so Frank said his goodbyes and headed out into the hallway with the kid, who took him to a quiet corner near the elevators.
The kid had a little battery powered Pignose amp and a Travis Bean guitar (the one with the aluminum neck and long out of business), and began to play for Frank. To everyone's amazement, he wasn't playing with a pick or anything like the usual guitar style that millions of players use - he was cradling the guitar so it's perpendicular to his body and tapping on the frets with both hands.
The kid was scared though, and pretty much fumbled through the song. Frank sensed this, and at the end of the song said, "Hey, that was great! Can you play me something else?"
The kids confidence instantly rose through the ceiling and he proceeded to rip off a song with his unique style that bordered on virtuosity. We were all amazed. Frank gave him his card and told him to call him if he ever got to LA (don't know if he ever did).
The kids name? Stanley Jordan, who eventually went on to a pretty nice career as a jazz guitarist using his unique style.
Frank could be totally brutal with players (or anyone for that matter) with an attitude, and was especially good at cutting them down to size (some good stories there too). But he was also sensitive to players who valued heart above technique and was always open to people showing him what they could do. I'm not sure how much Frank helped Stanley in his career, but at least for one moment on a cold Saturday afternoon in New York, he lifted him towards the sun.
